Amedeo Modigliani was an Italian-Jewish artist and painter from France. He loved to paint long necks, faces and figures. Below are some examples of his amazing portraits.

I was inspired to draw the “Curious Woman” after learning about by Modigliani. I wanted to follow his style of drawing a long neck. I also drew big eyes to show the woman was full of curiosity. I used oil pastels to give the portrait rich and vibrant color. To make the colors pop, I outlined the image with a black pastel.
